What’s a Copywriter anyway? And are you really a “Kick Ass Copywriter?”
A Copywriter is someone who increases your sales (through words). As far as the second question, is it ok if I leave that as a bit of mystery – until we at least work together?
Great! I knew you’d agree that I’d be a bit bias in answering that one too. LOL!
Who really uses, needs and/or hires an actual Copywriter?
People that know they’d rather spend the necessary time on doing what matters to them and their business the most (and usually it’s not the kind of writing that people running a business know how to do). Not to mention business owners who have a great reputation, but don’t want to take the chance in ruining it – by taking matters into their own hands.
Can’t I just do this myself? And save a few bucks?
Do you like shooting yourself in the foot (and walking around with a gimp)? If not we’ll probably want to at least set up a time to talk.
What about SEO stuff? Can’t I just use that to bring a ton of people to my site?
But that’s like sticking your store in the middle of New York City’s Time Square. Expecting anyone with a pulse to throw money through the storefront (just because you might have a TON of traffic passing by).
Like you, I wish that would happen. But it doesn’t. You’ll need some kick ass copy (to go along with SEO), to engage people to want to do business with you.
How would a Copywriter know what to write about my business (without my own expertise in knowing what to write)?
To tell you the truth, it’s a Copywriter’s job to know. That’s how I’m able to take on clients who are accountants, lawyers, life coaches, general contractors, etc.
Can I even afford to hire a Copywriter?
Well you might want to ask yourself, “Can I afford not to?” And…
I know. I know. That’s probably “a line” you might of very well heard before.
But here’s the deal. If you have a business that actually makes money, you don’t have the time to learn how to do what I do. If you did, you wouldn’t be on my site looking to hire someone like me. Got you there, huh? 🙂
You sound like a “pretty cool guy.” But this is my business and…
Yes. I AM a “pretty cool guy.”
However don’t confuse having fun, looking “cool” and loving what you do, with screwing around and not being “professional.” Because to be honest with you, I put everything I have into each and every job I take on (for each individual client). And that’s the most “professional” thing I can do.
Is it true you speak to others on how to “kick ass” too?
It’s 100% true. You can email email@example.com for more information.
Do you specialize in one particular area of Copywriting? I mean what’s so different about you?
I actually consider myself more of a generalist (& have the ability to take on any particular area in the field of Copywriting). As far as what’s different about me is that…
For about 10 REALLY long and arduous years I worked at over 30 different companies across the U.S. slaving over entry-level jobs to fund my own failed business ideas in music and writing.
Releasing 5 albums of music, a book, and 3 eBooks I discovered professional copywriting as fluke. So I read and studied some of the best out there. Made it my own. And started my first debt free and profitable business (themovingpicturewrites.com) to help business professionals like you, to stand out from the noise and kick some ass.
Adding my good looks (wink wink), degree in psychology and good bit of elbow grease…
I’m just excited to get paid to do what I love, and write copy for some of the best clients on the planet!
Can I have my web designer (who claims they “write copy”) do this?
Would you go to the orthodontist to get your teeth pulled? Eeeeeeck!
So what’s the difference between a Writer, a Copywriter, a Marketing Expert and yada yada yada?
Can I say, “Just watch Mad Men?” Great!
Thanks for letting me off the hook on that one.
What’s your background in?
Kicking ass! What did you think I was going to say? LOL!
For others who want to read a bit more of my story and how things started. You can certainly do that here.
So what do you charge Jared?
Depending on each individual’s needs, I have a handful of packages to choose from (and yes… that’s your sign to hit the “Let’s talk” button on the top right hand of your screen – I’d love to find out if we’re a great match first).
Anything else I should know because I read this far?
Actually there is. If you want to learn a lot more specific ways on how we can make you & your biz kick some serious assola… let’s talk today! However, there is a bit of a catch.
Make sure you want to stand out from the noise! Not just add to it.
